In this cartooning class, learn to bring characters to life not just through how they look, but through how they think, move, and tell a story. We'll focus on drawing original characters with personality, and explore how shape, proportions, clothing, and props help express who they are.
We will practice short assignments aimed to help young artists sharpen their drawing and storytelling techniques and building skills needed for comics, graphic novels, children's books, or storyboarding while having fun and experimenting with their own ideas. Perfect for kids who love to draw and want to learn how to make their characters leap off the page!
Times/Dates: Thursdays, 4:30-6:00pm, November 6th, 13th, 20th, December 4th, 11th and 18th
Ages: Kids 6-12 - all skill levels welcome
Cost: $130.00 - Students should bring a 9x12 sketchbook, one package of blank index cards, pens, pencils and an eraser.
