November 19, 2026 | 5:00–8:00 PMHampton Inn & Suites | Cazenovia, NY
The Madison County Rural Health Council (MCRHC) invites community members, local businesses, leaders, and organizations to join us for Beyond the Storm: Breaking Through the Chaos — An Evening of Hope, Healing and Advocacy.
Taking place on November 19, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 PM at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Cazenovia, this special evening is more than an event. It is an opportunity to come together for meaningful conversations about mental health, recovery, resilience, hope, and connection—and to remind one another that difficult seasons do not have to define what comes next.
Meet Our Featured Speaker: Cohen Miles-Rath, MSW
We are honored to welcome Cohen Miles-Rath, MSW, author of Mending Reality, as our featured speaker.
Cohen’s memoir shares his lived experience with mental illness and recovery and explores the journey from crisis to healing. His story and expertise have been featured by The New York Times, Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, and Psychology Today.
After experiencing a nearly fatal mental health crisis, Cohen’s life was transformed and his purpose became clear: to strengthen mental health systems and deepen our collective understanding of mental illness and recovery.
As a nationally recognized speaker and mental health advocate, Cohen has delivered keynote presentations across the United States. He draws on both his professional expertise and lived experience to empower others, challenge stigma, and inspire hope.
Through his work with the Mental Health Association of New York State and the New York State Office of Mental Health, Cohen has contributed to initiatives focused on strengthening mental health systems of care and expanding pathways to recovery.
