As summer winds down and families prepare for a fresh school year, CazCares—a cornerstone of support in the Cazenovia community—launches its annual Back to School Program. Each August, the organization collects and distributes essential school supplies to families using its food pantry. Donations are accepted from July through early August, ensuring students enter school fully equipped. Families must be eligible for the pantry and have a current record card on file to participate.

Community Partnerships: Books and Beyond
This year, CazCares is excited to partner with Caz Life, the vibrant local platform promoting community engagement, and Ink & Paper Bookstore, a cozy indie bookstore nestled right here in downtown Cazenovia. Ink & Paper Bookstore—at 7 Lincklaen Street—is bringing a literary touch to the program. Through contributions, they are working to provide books for students, ensuring they don’t just have supplies, but also stories to spark their imagination and love of reading .
Why This Matters
By joining forces with Caz Life and Ink & Paper, CazCares offers more than just pencil-and-paper support—it delivers opportunities for inspiration. Children gain tangible tools and also access to books that can open doors to new worlds and ideas. It’s a holistic investment in both education and imagination.
