Meet Helping Others Home Care LLC: Local Support with Independence, Dignity, and Respect
Hello, Cazenovia! My name is Leonila “Lily” Diaz, and I am the founder and owner of Helping Others Home Care LLC. As a local resident, I’m grateful for the opportunity to help individuals and families feel supported, connected, and more confident navigating everyday life.
With more than 15 years of experience in social services, including care management, dementia support, and working with individuals with chronic health conditions, I bring a personal and thoughtful approach to each family’s needs. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish.
Helping Others Home Care offers non-medical support, including companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, transportation to appointments, medication reminders, cognitive activities, and wellness check-ins. My goal is to help people maintain their independence at home while giving their loved ones peace of mind.
I also offer care coordination for individuals and families who feel overwhelmed after a hospital discharge or rehabilitation stay. From organizing follow-up appointments to helping families communicate and connect with resources, this service helps make the transition home more manageable. Care coordination is available in Madison and Onondaga counties.
Through our Professional Health & Wellness Referral Network, I help connect community members with professionals and additional services. I also offer pet and home check-ins, dog walking, and sitting services for families who need an extra helping hand.
Connection Through the Better Breathers Club
As a certified Better Breathers Club facilitator through the American Lung Association, I offer opportunities for people living with chronic lung conditions and their caregivers to connect, learn, and share support. Our Better Breathers Club provides a welcoming space to discuss everyday challenges and learn about living well with lung disease.

Our public information table is available Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, at our office in the Atwell Mill Building. Stop by to pick up information about our services and complete a consultation request form. We’ll follow up to arrange a free consultation at a time that works for you.
Free consultations are available by appointment—in your home, at my office, by phone, or through Zoom.
