About The Haven at Skanda:

The Haven at Skanda supports love, hope, and possibilities for rescued farm animals and all people, especially children. Skanda takes in rescued horses and farm animals in partnership with the ASPCA’s national rescue teams as well as local rescue organizations and gives the animals the support they need to heal and the space they need to emerge as who they really are. Skanda provides a wide range of programs to the public, giving people of all ages and abilities opportunities to experience the animals, connect with nature, and discover new possibilities. Skanda is especially dedicated to supporting children and adults recovering from trauma or other stressors. All our programs support self-discovery, self-empowerment, compassion and connection. Our programs are inclusive, trauma-informed, and responsive to emerging community needs.
