Unlock Funding for Your Small Business: Madison County Microenterprise Grant Program

The Cazenovia Chamber of Commerce is excited to share a fantastic funding opportunity that could help take your business to the next level! The Partnership for Community Development (PCD) is offering Microenterprise Grants ranging from $5,000 to $35,000 for new and existing small businesses in Madison County. Whether you’re looking to expand your current operations or kickstart a new project, this program could provide the financial boost you need.


Grant Details:

  • Grant Amounts: $5,000 to $35,000

  • Application Deadline: September 30th, 2024, by 5:00 p.m.

  • Location Requirement: Business must be located in Madison County.


Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Business Size: Must have five or fewer employees, including the owner(s).

  2. Location: Business must be located within Madison County.

  3. Education Requirement: If awarded, applicants must complete a Small Business Basics course through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

  4. Equity Contribution: Business owners must contribute at least 10% equity toward their project.

  5. Income & Job Creation: Applicants must meet income requirements or commit to creating at least one full-time equivalent job available to low-to-moderate income individuals.

Important Details:

  • All grant funds are provided on a reimbursement basis, meaning that eligible expenses will be reimbursed after the project is completed.

  • This grant program is made possible through New York State CDBG Microenterprise funding and is subject to income requirements outlined in the program guidelines. Applicants whose household income exceeds the threshold must create at least one job available to LMI individuals. For those whose income is below the threshold, this job creation requirement is waived.
