Graduating seniors of Cazenovia College are hosting their second annual gala, with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish of Central New York this year. The gala will be a fun filled night featuring a speaker on behalf of Make-A-Wish CNY, cocktail hour, dinner, a silent auction, and live, student-run entertainment.
Students and Gala managers Alissa Patte and Morgan Black say that the gala is a great undertaking but their proud to take on the challenge and raise awareness for a cause that they both stand behind. Alissa, came up with the initial idea to host the event in support of Make-A-Wish after taking part in a wish for her younger brother. His wish was to meet Taylor Swift and the foundation helped make that possible, she said. “We both [Morgan Black] agreed that it would be a great cause, we really want to do this,” she added.
For Make-A-Wish of CNY CEO Diane Kupperman, the gala is a great way to continue the foundation's outreach to the community. Make-A-Wish of Central New York has worked tirelessly throughout the years to help grant wishes and now more than ever they continue to count on community support. The wishes that have come in year after year have grown and they're goal is to continue to grant every wish possible, she said.
The Cazenovia College Capstone Gala will be held at the Hampton Inn Suites in Cazenovia on Friday April 13th. For more information on how you can donate or purchase a ticket to the Make-A-Wish gala contact cazgala2018@gmail.com or click here.
