Ever wondered what happens behind the barn doors? This weekend is your chance to find out! Open Farm Days invites visitors to explore working farms across Madison County through tours, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and opportunities to meet the farmers who grow our food. It's a family-friendly experience that's equal parts educational and entertaining.

All within a 10-15 minute drive of downtown Cazenovia, we had such unique stops to enjoy, be it longhorn cattle, hard cider, lavender, an animal sanctuary, spirits, and more! Be sure to visit some fantastic local stops, including:

🎨 5. Stone Quarry Hill Art Park – Where Creativity Takes Center Stage

If art inspires you, Stone Quarry Hill Art Park has an entire weekend of free events to enjoy.

Start Saturday morning at the Cazenovia Farmers Market, where the park will unveil Ant Alice the 2nd, a whimsical four-foot steel ant sculpture created by artist Arlene Abend and fabricated by Chloe Lowenguth, Kiki Sciullo, and Howie Sneider.

Then stop by The Art Lobby at 87 Albany Street for a family-friendly activity where visitors of all ages can draw ants, learn fun facts about ants and the arts, and celebrate this exciting new community project.

Finally, head to the park itself for a moving performance by playwright, poet, and performer Dr. Juhanna Rogers, who will present excerpts from What to the Slave is the Fourth of July? while leading a walk through the grounds. The performance explores memory, freedom, place, and the enduring power of storytelling.
