Are you ready to step up and make a difference when it matters most? Cazenovia Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps (CAVAC) is once again offering vital training for our community—this time with two life-saving courses on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

🫀 Hands-Only CPR & AED

• When: September 28, 2025

• Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

• Where: CAVAC Ambulance — 106 Nelson Street, Cazenovia, NY

• Cost: Free

• Duration: 2 hours

This American Heart Association Hands-Only CPR course is designed to give you the confidence and skills to act quickly in an emergency. You’ll learn:

• How to perform CPR compressions

• Proper use of an AED

• How to respond to choking emergencies in adults, children, and infants

AVAC has recently invested in brand-new CPR mannequins with digital feedback, giving participants real-time guidance to improve their technique.

💡 Important to know:

• This class does not cover rescue breathing

• No CPR card will be issued

• If you need a CPR card for work, consider taking one of CAVAC’s BLS CPR courses instead

🩸 Stop the Bleed

• When: September 28, 2025

• Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• Where: CAVAC Ambulance — 106 Nelson Street, Cazenovia, NY

• Cost: Free

• Duration: 1 hour

Stop the Bleed® is a national initiative that empowers everyday people to recognize and respond to life-threatening bleeding. In this one-hour class, you’ll learn how to take immediate action in emergencies until professional help arrives.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
