For more than a century, the Cazenovia Republican has been the trusted weekly newspaper sharing the stories, events, and voices that make our village unique. While the media world has changed dramatically, the Republican remains a cornerstone of local life—proving that print is very much alive and well in Cazenovia.

More Than News

The Republican is more than headlines—it’s about community. From school achievements to local events, civic updates to family milestones, the paper provides a space where neighbors can see themselves, their families, and their businesses celebrated in print.

“People often say, ‘Doesn’t everyone use digital now?’” says the paper’s advertising manager. “But there are a lot of people who prefer print—and even younger readers are returning to it. It’s refreshing to take a break from screens and hold something tangible in your hands. And there’s something really special about seeing yourself or your family in print.”

Supporting Local Businesses

Advertising in the Cazenovia Republican is more than just promotion—it’s an investment in the local economy. The paper works with businesses of all sizes and any budget to help increase visibility and reach customers in meaningful ways.

One highlight is the monthly Cazenovia Chamber/ Caz Life page, which is exclusively available to Chamber members. It’s a powerful way for local businesses to connect directly with the community, and there’s plenty of room for more advertisers to join in.

A Career in Connection

The Republican’s advertising manager first connected with the paper while working for Madison County Tourism. “One of our board members thought I’d be a good fit—and it turns out I am!” she says. Her favorite part of the role is meeting new people, working with clients, and helping businesses grow.

“I love seeing clients succeed. The people I get to work with here are friendly, wonderful, and truly make this job rewarding.”

Print’s Bright Future

In an era when many assume newspapers are fading, the Cazenovia Republican is thriving by staying true to its mission: serving as a reliable, community-first publication. And as trends show, print isn’t going anywhere—in fact, it’s finding a renewed audience.
