In 2023, Caz Life started with three friends gathering over coffee to talk about the business community in Cazenovia. We are proud to announce that it has since evolved into a movement that actively promotes a diverse array of unique businesses that strive to make Cazenovia, New York a special place to visit, work and live.
Formerly, the Greater Cazenovia-Area Chamber of Commerce (GCACC), there are two branches of our organization:
Caz Life: All things tourism, events, & fun community happenings in Cazenovia!
Caz Life Business: Your source for business resources, news and updates in Cazenovia!
With the branding change comes organizational changes as well. We are a completely remotely located, volunteer run organization. By limiting overhead costs -- we can now allocate 95% of membership dues directly into future community events and initatives.
What is all the fuss about, you may ask? Here at Caz Life, we bring together businesses from all sectors and surrounding areas to collaborate and strengthen the community as a whole. Tourism and events are the lead, but some of the most amazing results come from working together.
STRONG ANNUAL EVENTS
We have a robust lineup of annual community events. These are free to the public and have been a key driver of traffic to the area throughout the year. With the coordination of the business community we have been able to collaborate to make each year bigger and more successful than the previous one.

Fall Fest
Spooky Soiree

The Christmas Walk & Tree Lighting
The Giving Tree

BUSINESS NETWORKING EVENTS
Cazenovia and the surrounding areas are home to some incredibly talented people, and we know the magic happens when you get these people together in a room! We offer 'Caz Life Social' events for business members to mix and mingle in a casual setting to encourage collaboration, networking and community morale.
Members are welcome - but not mandated to attend our monthly meetings held on the third Thursday of every month at The Brewster Inn from 8:30am - 9:30am.

ROBUST SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE:
We create and share highly engaging community and business content daily on our Instagram (3,151 followers) and Facebook (6,400 followers) channels, hundreds of original blog posts which garner tens of thousand of views directing people to Cazenovia-area businesses and events.
Maintain a highly effective tourism calendar which continues to get record views for events in the area.
Our website is tourism based and aligned with other tourism-focused entities inluding Madison County Tourism (MCT) in an effort to direct traffic and revenue into Central New York.

SUPPORTING TOURISM DURING "SLOW SEASON":
By creating the first-ever Cazenovia Dining Week(s) local area restaurants and eateries saw a noticeable uptick in restaurant traffic and sales revenue during two of the slowest weeks annually in the industry.
The creation of a two-weekend long Winter Festival to celebrates the change of seasons and gives a boost to the business community during a slow season.
GIVING BACK TO COMMUNITY NON-PROFITS:
We partner with CazCares and Community Bank to strengthen Cazenovia's Giving Tree event which provides local families in-need with holiday gifts for their children. www.cazenovia.com/thegivingtree
Initiating a Go Fund Me account for the Cazenovia Garden Club to secure funds that were desperately needed to beautify the community during the holidays and all summer long.
Assisted local restaurants and Clear Path For Veterans in ticket sales and promotion for a fundraising event to honor our military and to raise $20,000 for local veteran support programs including service dog training.
We organize a Go Fund Me account for Cazenovia Area Community Development Association (CACDA) which helped raise funds for new lights for the town Christmas tree.

SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIPS:
In collaboration with the Cazenovia Central School District, we were able to provide scholarships to High School students going on to college in the fall. www.cazenovia.com/scholarship
We partner with Madison County Tourism (MCT) on press coverage for our events in an effort to expand our reach and increase visitor traffic to our community.
SUPPORTING CAZ LIFE BUSINESS MEMBERS:
We are always looking to broaden our list of member benefits which currently includes free tile ads on the Caz Life website, directory member listing, social media content, email campaign content, curated blog content and more.
In collaboration with Eagle News, Caz Life created and distributed a free directory guide for member businesses to be featured in. We are now exploring the possibility of community maps/ tourism guides to be distributed to local businesses.
Hotels and inns in the area were provided QR code table tents to promote tourism and events to travelers.
FEEL GOOD MOMENTS:
We hold the Ezra Greenleaf Weld Community Awards commemorating community members who go above and beyond to make Cazenovia a wonderful place to work and live.
